Christiansborg Palace was left in ruins during the fire in 1884, but when the reconstruction took shape, TONI Copenhagen (then under the name "E.O. Auchenberg") was chosen as the primary supplier of sanitary fittings. It is from this that the name the Christiansborg model originates. Many decades later, as part of TONI Copenhagen’s relaunch of this iconic fixture in 1985, the Royal Court was once again the first to order it for Amalienborg. With its characteristic five-pronged handle, it was, as it had been before, appreciated for its timeless, honest, and slightly poetic expression.
